Whether you are just viewing it or participating it everyone in the world enjoys football. When competitions such as the World Cup are on whole relatives and countries combine in celebration of their countries team.
We all know that for a long while football has been one of the highest paid industries in the world. Resent offerings that Manchester City have been offering for Kaka are in the region of around half a million a week. I just can't get my head around how can a football club gives some one five hundred thousand per week to kick a ball?
Well to be honest I do not think that it will last much longer due to the current economic climate that we are facing. The credit crunch started in late 2008 and things are set to get worse in 2009. The two sectors that are affected the highest are the property industry and the oil niche. Most of the club owners such as Roman Abramovich will be facing a hard time with the current financial situation.
A barrel of oil has reduced it's price to a very low figure leaving millionaires shuffling around the businesses so that they make a good profit. I believe this means pulling back on the spending that they have been doing for football clubs. Although football is very profitable, there has to be some loss incurred from paying a player half a million a week? This is even worse if a football club fail to lift a trophy for a few years.
I think a lot of footballers are highly over rated and no one in the world unless you are a business owner and have worked hard for it deserves to get that amount of money. No wonder everyone is struggling when companies and banks spend harshly.
