Walt Disney was brave enough to take control of Angels in the middle of a difficult period for the team. Then they were given a new name by the Disney Company as ‘Anaheim Angels’. With all the disappointments and thumbs downs by their fans The Angels moved on with the energy powered by Disney. In 2002 they won their first world title. The name was again changed to Los Angeles Angels after Angels baseball took over the ownership from Disney.
