Maybe you have heard of The Villages Florida?
Well, it is perhaps the most well-known retirement community in the world consisting of an amazing 80,000 full as well as part-time residents and claiming land in 3 various counties in Central Florida.
The Villages promotes an “active” lifestyle which includes sports, clubs, recreation, shopping, and plenty of other variables within an almost overpowering amount. Many have announced the town as a Disney World for retirees.
However, it is not just for seniors. As a guy in his mid-40’s, I equally enjoy numerous amenities in the Villages Florida. Here are just a few of my favorite things to do in The Villages.
Undeniably, my number 1 activity would be to visit the Town Squares. You’ll find presently two of these Squares which are fashioned after old-time downtowns when crowds would meet on weekends to mingle. There’s free of charge entertainment every single night and individuals pack the lovely listening space to loosen up or dance the night time away underneath the stars.
I enjoy hearing the different styles of popular music and watching the dancers, many of whom are really excellent. There are drink huts in close distance that have great happy hour special deals which last just about all evening.
I also really like walking down and up the streets smelling all the different aromas belonging to the dining establishments and people viewing. In the Lake Sumter Landing Square, there is probably the most beautiful lakes you will ever observe. Try simply sitting on a bench and looking at the sun set and you’ll never want to leave.
One other of my favorite past-times would be the breakfast buffet in Katie Belles. This restaurant/nightclub sits right on Spanish Springs Town Square and is famous for the music and ambiance. However, they have a breakfast buffet on Saturday’s which will cost you only 3.99 and is scrumptious. You are able to order a specially produced omelet and feast over the incredible variety of choices laid out upon two tables. However, the best part of the morning is always paying out the bill!
Lastly, I totally take pleasure in the pools within the Villages. My mother who lives there presents us with a guest pass and we go along with her occasionally. Lounging next to these heated pools with swaying palm trees causes you to feel like you are at a Hawaiian vacation as all your tension fades away.
