There’s an easy way to explain Soccer practice; there are no set rules. You are free to test new drills, come up with innovative ideas to create drills and so on. What’s more, be on a lookout for drills that are already in use but need modification as per your requirements. There are tips that can be real helpful in carrying out a plentiful soccer training timetable.
Create plans that are flexible. It’s natural that not all plans will bring results as per the desired outcome. It might start raining, you may not be well, or kids may fail to come. All these are possible blockers and so make adequate arrangements to take care of them.
You can look for and decide on numerous soccer practice games ready. Identify those that don’t lead to the requisite results, do away with those and go to next. Be a part of the training and you can easily make out things that are best for the kids.
Make the kids warm up before every session. Make soccer ball an added feature in the usual warm up drills that kids practice on a daily basis. Introduce some nice exercises such as an interesting game called Fetch. In this game, the coach must throw the ball towards the player and he must return it using any or both the feet.
Also, guide the players to roll the ball with the feet, kick the ball from side to side amid the feet and like that. There are loads of soccer drills like this that players use to warm up.
Make sure every player has a separate soccer ball that belongs to him. And when that is the case, design several individual activities that they can do using the ball. The kids should be made to practice shooting, hitting the ball to the wall, and dribbling and all that. Make sure no lines are added and keep your movement as free as possible.
Soccer coaching requires including group activities once the individual activities are over. There are two amazing drills for practicing; passing and receiving the ball. In group activities, it’s imperative for the kids to show some team spirit. It’s natural for the kids to take some time in getting used to the feeling of team spirit from individual play to team play. You‘ve got be the guiding light here for the team. Lay emphasis on supporting each other in team for winning matches.
Also, weak players must be properly guided in order to be teamed up. Such activities encourage brotherhood and team spirit.
Soccer should be played in teams between the kids and with no a goalie. Have them hit the goals and do not set boundaries for this game. Also, instruct them to first attack and then defend. This lets them experiment on their own and play their natural style.
This is the simplest method to carry out a soccer practice. Let your imagination go wild and design methodologies that keep the kids engaged. There is no correct or incorrect drill as such.
