Steven Gerrard has played for Liverpool for the last ten years and in all fairness similar accusations regularly pop up around global football stars as they are constantly in the lime light with the public. The Football Association in the UK said it would not be making any comment on the situation regarding Steven Gerrard and his position in the England squad was not under question. The FA added that players will continue to be considered for playing for their national team while any sort of police investigations are being processed.

Steven Gerrard has been capped by England 70 times and has captained his country four times which is an incredible professional football achievement. He was made an MBE last year and received an honorary award fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University. There is no doubt that he is one of the best footballers this country has seen and to think that he may spend time in a local prison is almost impossible to believe. We will simply have to wait and see the outcome yet it is not unheard of that global stars such as Steven Gerrard may be accused of things like this when in actual fact they may not be true what so ever.
