There are two different kinds of bets when you play roulette, outside bets are the easiest to win. Outside bets are more likely to win but deliver payouts that are far less impressive. Many outside bets will win almost 50% of the time. Outside bets are very popular with players who like to play carefully. Whether or not you should make outside bets depends on your personality and your playstyle. Here are the outside bets, for the next time you play online roulette.
Many of the outside bets are very similar in principle, I will go over them now. Betting red or black is to bet money that the ball will land on the color black or the color red, the payout is 1:1 which means that if you bet five chips on black and win you will win five chips; this bet offers a near 50% win percentage. If you want another bet that isn’t too risky I would suggest the high bet or the low bet.
The top half of the roulette wheel has the numbers 19-36 and the bottom half 1-18, you can bet that the ball will land on either the high numbers or the low numbers, for example if you bet low and the ball lands on the number 11 you win 1:1. You can also bet on numbers 25-36, 13-24, and 1-12, betting on these numbers are called either Third Dozen, Second Dozen, or First Dozen, this bet pays 2:1 Column bets are similar to dozen bets, you are betting on 12 numbers but not consecutive 12 numbers. Along with a roulette wheel there is also a roulette table, on this table is a map of each number, these numbers are within three different columns. A Column Bet pays 2:1 and you win if the ball lands on a number that is in the column you selected.
